This course is designed to educate and train learners on the knowledge and skills necessary for emergency situations in helicopter and boat travel to offshore locations and installations in cold water environments.

Learners will be educated on the processes, procedures and arrangements with regards to offshore travel and living which includes company policy, HSE management system, emergency systems and sea survival and rescue.

Learners will also be educated and trained on the various methods of transfer by boat/barge to and from fixed facilities, as well as the hazards associated with such activities and learning points gained from past incidents.

Learners will be trained to utilise safety and survival equipment such as various types of lifejackets as well as marine life rafts.

Firefighting on offshore oil and gas installations will also be included in the training as well as survival techniques and procedures for emergency situations during helicopter and boat travel onshore and offshore.
