TRAINING PURPOSE
This lesson is intended to prepare the student or participants to gain various types of knowledge, skill and experience in dealing with firefighting. They will be exposed to attack various types of fires using effective standard and coordinated attack tactics, following the policies and procedures.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, the student will be able to achieve the following objectives in accordance with the information received in the class:
- Able to describe initial factors to consider when to suppressing fires.
- Able to coordinate and command any types of incident.
- Able to differentiate between flammable liquid fires and flammable gas fires.
- Able to priorities action based on RECEO concept.
- Able to summarize considerations prior to entering a burning building or any hydrocarbon fires incidents.
- Able to explain the gas fires cooling techniques.
- Able to describe direct attack, indirect attack and combination attack techniques.
- Able to discuss and determine when to deploy master stream devices.
- Able explain actions taken in attacking any fires in upper level of structures or platforms.
- Able to discuss structure or industrial fires in properties protected by fixed fire protection and fixed fire suppression systems.
