Scope:

This course aims to provide guidance, training and knowledge to seafaring personnel responsible for the handling of packaged dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes aboard ships; and shore-based personnel, including Competent Authorities Personnel.

Aims & Objectives:

Upon completion of the training, the course participants will be able to :-

• the classes of Dangerous Goods (D.G), labeling, marking, placarding, packing, stowage, segregation and compatibility provisions
• description of the purpose and content of Dangerous Goods, transport documents, Dangerous Goods forms and container/vehicle packing certificate
• description of availability of emergency response documents
