COURSE OUTCOMES

On completion of the course, learners will be able to:

• Discuss various methods of transfer by boat/ barge to and from fixed facilities. Theoretical content covers personnel net (basket), swing rope and gangway supported by video

• Identify the hazards involved during transfer, past incidents and learning points

• Describe operational procedures and good practice

• Demonstrate personnel net (basket), swing rope and gangway transfer techniques in a variety of simulated sea conditions, culminating in man overboard rescue
