The course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake driving Heavy Vehicles (Rigid and Articulated) in a safe, courteous and responsible manner.

Participants will be trained in the various safety aspects of Defensive Driving which includes the pre-drive checks (Fitness to Drive Assessment, vehicle safety inspections including coupling and uncoupling of trailers, etc), safety whilst on the road (speeding management & braking technique, load behaviour and Vehicle Dynamics, etc) and a deeper understanding of the occupation (Brunei Road Laws, attitude & behaviour whilst on the job, etc).

Participants will also be trained for events of emergency which includes an awareness of causes of heavy vehicle crashes and damages as well as Basic First Aid, as well as being asked to do a practical demonstration showcasing the elements learnt from the course.
