COURSE CODE: FVG-38
This course is designed for personnel in the role of firefighter. It concentrates on the core competencies required for the effective deployment of equipment and personnel in order to deal with any an aircraft accident/incident or and type of Industrial fire incidents.
COURSE AIM: To provide technical and practical training in order to comply with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAP 168 – Certificated of Competency) or CAP 699 Standards for the competence of Rescue and Firefighting Services personnel.
This programme is designed for personnel who have already successfully completed the Fire Fighter initial programme or equivalent and have consolidated that knowledge with further application in the workplace.
This one (1) day structured revalidation course programme will be focuses on two different types of training as below:
· Industrial Fire Training
This course is to provide and the opportunity to understand the principles of fire, firefighting and demonstrate those skills required when dealing with intense firefighting situation such as fed Jet pressurized fire.
· Aircraft / Helicopter Fire Fighting
This course is to provide helicopter fire team with the knowledge and skills required to respond to a helicopter incident within their base, outside base or within the area of jurisdiction.
