COURSE CODE: FVG-19
The Target group is designed for personnel across the energy sector with an existing knowledge and understanding of Confined Spaces and the necessary skills for confined space entry.
To provide participant to how confined spaces are defined and recognized, the specific regulations and guidelines, hazards, control measures, roles and responsibilities and testing.
COURSE CONTENT:
• Applicable regional legislation and guidelines.
• Confined space definitions and recognition.
• Hazards associated with confined spaces.
• Hazards arising from work conducted in confined spaces.
• Roles and Responsibilities for confined space entry including restrictions i.e. what certain roles should not do.
• Atmospheric testing in confined spaces.
• Safe Systems of work for confined spaces (incl. PTW where applicable).
• PPE and RPE and equipment used in confined spaces.
• Communication methods when working in confined spaces.
• Emergency procedures and rescue plans and require equipment.
• Toolbox talk and Dynamic Risk Assessment and Risk Classification prior to confined space entry
The objectives of the Confined Space Entry are that delegates will be able to perform:
• Atmospheric testing through correct operation of monitoring equipment.
• Hazard identification and dynamic risk assessment.
• Pre use PPE and Equipment checks.
• Entry and Egress to and from a confined space.
• Egress from a confined space in an emergency situation
To successfully complete this training delegates must able to demonstrate:
• Entry and egress to and from a confined space (Side entry & vertical entry).
