AIMS & COURSE ELEMENTS:
This competency-based course is designed in accordance to NFPA 472 standard. Hazardous Materials technicians are individuals who respond in an offensive mode to stop releases or potential releases. They assume a more aggressive role than an emergency responder at the Operation Level in that they will approach the point of release in order to plug, path, or otherwise contain the release of a hazardous substance.

• Demonstrate understanding of HAZMAT subjects
• Demonstrate understanding controlling HAZMAT incident.

This course specifically designed for those aspiring to be a fire-fighter and personnel who newly joined the fire services, plant operator, First Intervention Team, Jetty Terminal Operator, municipal fire brigades and industrial / oil and gas fire-fighting services.

DAY – 4 : Module Evaluating Progress and Incident Termination
• Terminating the Incident
• Evaluating the Effectiveness of the Control Functions
DAY – 5: Practical
• Practical Skill – Accessing Incident, Information Gathering, Command Set up and responding to incident site.
