Aims

To equip the delegates with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills may be involved in combating fire arising from liquid hydrocarbons, liquefied gas or inflammable chemical products.

Objectives

• The classification of hazardous products

• The characteristics of hazardous products including Radiological hazards, Fire and Explosion Hazards, etc

• Fuel installation fire including Boil-Over and BLEVE

• Fuel farm firefighting – Techniques, tactics and strategies

• Fuel farms facilities and fire protection system

• Foam applications

• The use of self-contained breathing apparatus set

• Explosimeters: LEL/UEL

• Personnel protective equipment, scene safety and scene control
