WHO'S THE COURSE FOR?

Workers acting as Safety Observers or Spotters guiding vehicles in confined areas where the operator may have restricted vision.

COURSE AIM

To improve participant knowledge and skills in providing a safe working environment for operators who require assistance to maneuver vehicles, such as forklifts, in confined areas where line of sight and the ability to see hazards may be restricted. Course participants who successfully undertake the required assessments will receive a Certificate upon completion of the course.

Learning Outcome

·      Understand the risks associated with operating vehicles in   confined spaces

·      Demonstrate the ability to conduct appropriate risk assessments prior to the commencement of the task

·      Demonstrate the ability to provide effective communication with the vehicle operator at all times

· Demonstrate the ability to always be in the most suitable position to assist the vehicle operator and maintain personal safety
