This course aims to train learners with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to perform the role of Emergency Response Team Leader effectively. This includes awareness on offshore emergency response activities as well as teamwork and leadership values and techniques necessary for the role.

Training includes initiation of servicing for safety equipment and stock replenishing, briefing an debriefing skills and techniques, communication establishment and maintenance during emergency situations and the monitoring and evaluation of the emergency response team progress in adjustment and application of response plan.

Usage of fixed and portable firefighting equipment will also be a part of the training.

The course includes written knowledge assessment practical assessment of competence covering all aspects of the Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader role.
