This course will give learners the necessary knowledge and skills needed for a role coordinating and supporting the management of environmental sustainability; leading to environmental performance improvement and business benefits.

Successful completion of the certificate results in the award of IEMA Associate membership, which is the essential professional qualification for working in an environmental role. Associate membership status entitles the successful candidate to put the letters AIEMA after their name. Elements covered in this 10 day course include, but is not limited to, sustainability principles, environmental legislation & compliance measures, environmental performance improvement programs, environmental policy issues and environmental management & assessments.

The Associate exam is via a 2 hour on-line examination which tests one or more of the assessment criteria associated with the learning outcomes
